Ever since childhood I have wanted to be a dentist. It is the perfect career for me because it combines science, problem solving, workmanship and communication. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and developing relationships with people. My degree in Engineering from Arizona State provided a valuable foundation for my Dental Education at Southern Illinois University, where I excelled in diagnosis, patient care, and won several awards for publishing my dental research.

My career as a dentist began in the United States Navy. During my first year in the Navy I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency while serving at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, South Carolina. Later I served at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan as a Dental officer treating our fighting men and women in uniform and their families. It is an experience I hold dear and one that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

When it came time to begin private practice, I returned to my hometown of Tucson where I joined Dr. Howard Adams in 2007. Through Dr. Adams I was introduced to the Kois Center, an institution for advanced dental studies in Seattle, WA. Dr. Adams and the Kois Center have expanded my knowledge and abilities by applying a systematic approach to dentistry. As a graduate of the Kois Center I am able to provide very effective predictable treatment ranging from routine fillings to full mouth reconstructions and complex cosmetic and implant-based cases.

I am a proud graduate of Lineweaver Elementary, Alice Vail Middle School and Tucson High. My wife Jen and I have our four sons: Sam, Johnny, Tommy, and Ben. They keep us busy and happy.

I am dedicated to providing an accurate diagnosis and exceptional treatment. I take pride in providing considerate, individualized care, and I stand behind my work. I look forward to getting to know you, listening to your needs and providing you excellence with the best possible dental care.

Hello! My name is Susan and I have been Dr. Pershing’s Business Office Manager since 2012. I love my job and being able to work with a stellar team. I was a patient of this office for 15 years when Dr. Pershing, knowing of my administrative background, offered me my current position. I accepted with full confidence having experienced first- hand the exceptional care Dr. Pershing gives his patients.

I am a native Californian who has made Arizona my adopted home. My husband and I have raised our beautiful family in Tucson. We make frequent trips to California to visit with family and to get my ocean fix.
I enjoy gardening, reading in my hammock, hiking, biking, and am a yoga devotee.

Hi! My name is Lorraine and I have been with Dr. Pershing and his great staff since 2015. I value the shared goal of putting the patient first. I enjoy working with each patient to find their best path forward to establish or maintain oral health. And it’s such an exciting process now with GBT! What’s GBT? Check it out on our services page. Outside of work I love spending time with my husband of over 30 years, our cats, and painting. I’m also a professional artist. I usually have a painting or two up in the operatory.

Hello! My name is Nichole, I am originally from Chile and raised in Tucson. Yes, I speak Spanish! I love being a dental hygienist and I am passionate about all my patients having a pleasant, positive experience while here in the office.

Before becoming a hygienist, I worked in the veterinary field where I specialized in canine/feline dentistry! What can I say- I love teeth!

In my spare time, I love being with those close to me and I am always up for an adventure.

I was born in Douglas, Arizona and grew up in Tombstone. I received my dental assisting training through the Red Cross while my husband and I were stationed in Mannheim, Germany with the U.S. Army. I have also lived in South Korea, Georgia, Texas and Illinois. I love helping others maintain a healthy smile; whether through dental treatment or education in good home care. I feel responsible for every patient that sits in the dental chair. I am committed to treating each patient with the utmost compassion while helping deliver effective treatment with a gentle touch.

I have been in the dental field for 19 years. I attended Pima Community College and graduated in 2005 but quickly developed a love for working in the front office.

I have a husband and two boys whom I adore. We enjoy camping and taking road trips with family and our dog, Hazel.

I am excited to be joining Dr. Pershing and his team!
